President Uhuru Kenyatta has today nominated Nancy Janet Kabui Gathungu to take over the position of Auditor General.
State house spokesperson Kanze Dena said Kabui’s name has been forwarded to the National Assembly for vetting.
If she is found fit to hold the office, she will succeed Edward Ouko and fill a nine-month vacancy gap in the office.
Ouko left the office since his retirement in August 2019 after serving the country diligently for eight years.
The nominee currently a Director of Audit at the Office of the Auditor-General will also serve for a single 8-year term.
