ICT Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i has made key appointments to the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) and Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK).
Matiang’i picked Wilbert Kipsang Choge, Kennedy Monchere Nyaundi, Grace Mwendwa Munjuri, Prof Levi Obonyo,Hellen Kinoti,Beatrice Opee and Peter Munywoki Mutie as members of the Board of CAK for a period of 3 years with effect from May 20, 2014.
The ICT Secretary also appointed Eng. Sammy Tangus as Chairman to the Postal Corporation of Kenya.
The President failed to name the Chairperson of the Communications Authority of Kenya for the second week running.
The next move will be for the board to advertise the Director General’s position in compliance with the provisions of Article 34(5) of the Constitution.-Cofek
