LinkedIn is buying Newsle, a web app for surfacing news about people in your network, the two companies announced Monday. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

Newsle was founded three years ago and had about two million users at the time of the acquisition.

The startup, which had raised more than $2 million in funding, uses machine learning algorithms and natural language processing to highlight news about your connections on Facebook and LinkedIn.-Mashable
