World Vision Kenya, in partnership with the County Government of Nakuru, has launched an initiative to educate farmers on improving yields by turning arid areas into food baskets. The organisation aims to assist small-scale farmers to increase their production in arid areas by embracing restoration of vital ecosystems and soil fertility. County executive for natural resources and environment Richard Kipsang said the move by World Vision, will impact on many small-scale farmers. –
