More than 1.7 million Kenyans met the deadline for filing returns on iTax by June 30. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) consequently said it would not extend the deadline for filing returns.
The authority, while commending taxpayers for turning up in large numbers to meet their tax obligations, warned that those filing late will have to pay penalties.
“The authority would like to reiterate that the deadline for fi ling returns has not been extended and will not be extended,” it said.
