Barclays Bank of Kenya has rolled out a campaign to fund more than 10,000 small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) owners through subsidised loans under the Wezesha Biashara na Barclays programme.
The secured loans, which will be offered to SME customers across 11 major towns in the country are aimed at enabling business owners scale up their businesses.
The loan offer of 17.5 per cent is part of a wider SME campaign that includes free financial literacy training to SME owners.
