Power distributor, Kenya Power says it is committed to ensuring more than 70 per cent of Kenyans have electricity by next year.
Chairman Kenneth Marende said yesterday the company will ensure the other 30 per cent are connected to the national grid by 2020.
He said the company had put in place strategies to fully implement the “Last Mile” initiative launched by the President recently.
“We have put everything in place and procured all the required materials and workforce to make sure the programme is fully implemented in the provided timelines,” he said.
