KCB Foundation yesterday signed a strategic partnership agreement with East African Portland Cement Company Ltd (EAPCC) that will see youth beneficiaries from the ongoing 2jiajiri programmes benefit from internship opportunities at the latter firm.
The foundation, through its “Formalising the Informal Sector –skilling for self-employment” initiative and EAPCC have agreed to pool resources, skills and experiences of both organisations to enable youth and entrepreneurs in small informal businesses in poor urban and rural communities to start and grow their businesses.
The 2jiajiri programme seeks to help local youth to materialise their micro-entrepreneurship projects and transform them into small and medium scale employers in their own right.
