Grace was given an assignment by his lecturer , a project to be precise and was to submit it in two weeks time. She was happy and expressed optimism that the project will be due in time. She took her time to draft the proposal, prepare scripts and lay down all the requirements.
Little did she know that much work awaited her in the coming week. She was a member of Music club and the final rehearsals were in full gear leaving her with no chances of reviewing her project, forget the unending students’ council meetings she was to chair the subsequent week. Thinking of the assignment only resulted to headaches. The two weeks appeared like building Rome in a day for official opening the next day. She appeared stressed due to overworking, her optimism ran low and stated experiencing boredom, her productivity started deteriorating as feelings of unhappiness ensued and chances of quitting all her endeavors increased. Grace was over optimistic, procrastination dominated her, she appeared tired and confused.
Imagine meeting a deadline to prepare a financial year release presentation for the next day, however you choose to ignore after feeling like you have all the time in the world, only to experience a computer crush twenty minutes to the official release. You start feeling uneasy, minds starts boiling, you feel like fleeing and never to be seen. All these factors have been found to rob off enthusiasm, however you can do the following to boost your enthusiasm,
Do not procrastinate, it is common for everyone to buy time however we can do away with that culture that is taking toll on us. Edward young once said that procrastination is the thief of time, never postpone what you can do today or at a later date. This will mean that you are piling up your work that will in the end way you down. Do what you can do at a given moment. planning your timetable comes in handy.
Share your feelings, do not let problems or thoughts fill your heart, you will only become lonely as your self esteem lowers. Sharing a problem with friends helps to pull of the wait on your chest.
Get out and enjoy what nature provides, take a break from a hard days work,get out and enjoy the sun’s warmth, admire the flowers and the birds. They give you a new point of view, helps to free your mind.
Engage in activities, choose the ones capable of raising your self esteem, go to a theater hall to watch movies, enter a restaurant and enjoy your delicious meals or even engage in a sporting activity that you like most as you engage with friends. Something that will bring you happiness.
