Kenya Shilling weakens on banking sector jitters

Kenyan Shilling has weakened slightly over the US dollar on market jitters after Central bank of Kenya announced it hard put Chase bank under receivership.

After gaining strength by some 0.7 percent over the last four months of the year, the shilling was seen trading at 101.35/45 to the dollar.

Yesterday the currency was recorded at 101.30/40 by close of business.
